To join HACP, or to renew your membership for 12 months

The fee for 12 months membership of HACP is £30 (rising to £35 from 1st February 2027)

We have a concessionary rate of £15, in cases of genuine hardship.

Application for individual membership of HACP is open to any person over the age of 18 years who is:

• A qualified counsellor or psychotherapist (current or retired), OR
• Using counselling skills in their work, OR
• Training in counselling/psychotherapy, OR
• Interested in training in counselling/psychotherapy

You will benefit most from HACP membership if you live/work in Hampshire, UK

Renewals only – important changes for 2026

We no longer have a fixed membership year, so your 12 months’ membership starts/ends from whenever you start it. Your 2026-27 membership year will run for 12 months from the date you join.

Existing members, who joined prior to 2026, will still have a membership year that ends each February.

Renewal is not automatic – you remain in control of your renewal and payment. When it is time to renew, you will receive two reminder emails, including a link, to take you to membership renewal. If renewal is late, it will be back-dated to your year-end date. However, if there is a gap between your renewal date and the date you actually renew, you may miss out on emails and membership benefits.

We are a local membership organisation, for therapists who live or work in and near to Hampshire, UK. We offer:

• 10 monthly evening meetings per year, included in membership, each with 2 hours CPD certificate (£10 to non-members)
• Whole-day CPD/training events at preferential rates (usually £10 discount on non-member rate)
• Advertising to members £25 (£40 to non-members)

• Regular emails advertising local training courses, jobs, counselling rooms, etc
• Regular opportunities to meet and network with other professionals
• Opportunity to serve on HACP committee/interest groups (may count as CPD hours!)
