Or when there are dual allegations of DA from a couple. The talk will include some safety planning and risk management alongside appropriate information sharing protocols\, to ensure the therapist is able to avoid collusion. \nAbout Cindy\nCindy has a wealth of experience working with children and families\, domestic abuse perpetrators and victims. She has managed services across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight and now trains a whole range of professionals in many aspects of safe-guarding. This includes domestic abuse and contextual safe-guarding. It’s been described by Bessel van der Kolk as ‘the treatment method that all clinicians should know in order to treat clients effectively’. \nThis 2-hour session\, offered by Liz Martins\, will give you a deeper understanding of IFS\, the principles and practice\, with time for your questions about the model. It’s suitable for any psychotherapist or counsellor who’s curious about IFS and wants to know more. \nAbout Liz\n \nLiz is an experienced therapist\, trainer\, and supervisor\, with a small private practice near Bath\, where she lives. Liz was fortunate to be on the early IFS trainings in the UK\, with Richard Schwartz as her trainer. She went on to become the first IFSI Institute Lead Trainer in the country and now works internationally leading trainings on behalf of the IFS Institute and its international partners. You will be able to get it from your HACP MemberMojo membership page \n  \n\n \n\nAbout Pam\nPam is a fully qualified Transactional Analyst (CTA) and psychotherapist (MSc)\, with extensive experience in private practice. Since 2016\, she has worked as a counsellor and psychotherapist from her home in Gosport\, supporting clients with warmth and compassion. \nUntil 2023\, Pam also taught Transactional Analysis (TA) theory and professional practice on the Counselling Foundation Degree course at Peter Symonds HE College\, Winchester. She continues to maintain a close relationship with the college\, contributing on an ad hoc basis. \n\n\nDeveloping her Specialism: Victims of Narcissistic Abuse\nSince 2020\, Pam has developed a particular interest in working therapeutically with people who identify as victims of narcissistic abuse\, including those who have experienced it within intimate partner relationships and adult children of narcissistic parents. This area of work has also been informed by her own experiences in abusive relationships. \nAs her clinical experience and research developed\, Pam became increasingly aware that much of the existing literature appeared to focus on understanding the perpetrator\, rather than the person affected by the abuse. This led her to explore\, through the framework of Transactional Analysis\, the intrapsychic and interpersonal reality of those who may be vulnerable to this form of abuse. \nPam’s work seeks to deepen understanding of how these experiences can challenge a person’s sense of self\, relationships and patterns of relating. She looks at how clients may present within the therapeutic relationship and\, importantly\, what they may need from a therapist to support meaningful recovery and change. \nPam sees this work as an ongoing and evolving area of clinical enquiry and continues to develop her research\, thinking and therapeutic insights. Pam is passionate about sharing this learning with fellow therapists who are interested in this field\, with the aim of ensuring that people affected by narcissistic abuse receive sensitive\, informed and effective therapeutic support.

She is the founder of Routes for Change Creative Arts Therapies\, a private practice based in Hampshire\, where she offers Music Therapy\, Guided Imagery and Music (GIM)\, Music & Imagery Therapy\, and Music Breathing. \nHelen holds an MA in Music Therapy from the University of Roehampton\, an Advanced Diploma in Guided Imagery and Music\, and a Diploma in Music & Imagery Therapy.
