Domestic Abuse & Identifying the Perpetrator/Managing the Risk, with Cindy Gilmore
Domestic Abuse & Identifying the Perpetrator/Managing the Risk, with Cindy Gilmore
Tuesday 13 October 2026, 7.30pm – 9.30pm
Chandlers Ford Methodist Church and live-streamed on Zoom
Free to HACP members, £10 to non-members (non-member please email at least a week in advance: info@hacp.co.uk)

What the talk will cover
This talk will introduce Domestic Abuse and Coercive Control and help therapists to understand some of the tactics they may see when a perpetrator is presenting as a victim. Or when there are dual allegations of DA from a couple. The talk will include some safety planning and risk management alongside appropriate information sharing protocols, to ensure the therapist is able to avoid collusion.
About Cindy
Cindy has a wealth of experience working with children and families, domestic abuse perpetrators and victims. She has managed services across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight and now trains a whole range of professionals in many aspects of safe-guarding. This includes domestic abuse and contextual safe-guarding. Cindy is committed to employers recognising their legal duty to protect and has been working with corporates to train Domestic Abuse Champions in the workplace.
This talk builds on Cindy’s previous talk to HACP, back in June 2025, although there is no requirement to have attended the previous one; all members are welcome.
